Based at the FuseBox on New England Street, the Digital Catapult Centre Brighton is designed to support projects that encourage innovation and value from real-time and location-based data, known as the Internet of Place.

A calendar of regular Business Breakfast drop-in events are offered to help you understand more about the Digital Catapult Centre Brighton, and opportunities for engaging with the project as it develops. The events are open to all, but are particularly intended for start-ups and SMEs to gain insight into current and future projects, and connect with project partners and academics.

This month's event will feature several guests from the Cultural Informatics Research Group (CIRG) at the University of Brighton:

  • Karina Rodriguez Echavarria - Senior Lecturer
  • Ran Song - Senior Lecturer
  • Dean Few - Software Support Officer
  • Asla Sa - Postdoctoral Researcher
  • Hilary Williams - Senior Research Administrator

The CIRG undertake research across a spectrum of interdisciplinary areas to support the development and use of digital collections for cultural heritage. CIRG research focuses on technical areas, such as digital collections, 3D technologies, web- and museum-based interactive applications; and non-technical areas, including testing, economic and social impact evaluation.

This event is free to attend - visit the Eventbrite page to book your place.
