For the fifth consecutive year, Moore Law have been ranked as a leading firm in the South East by the ‘Legal 500’, with their status elevated as well as being ranked in two new areas of practice.

The Legal 500 conducts annual research into the UK and international legal markets, with firms rankings based on client feedback and peer reviews. The rankings can be found in full here. In this year’s rankings Moore Law have placed alongside and above many of the largest and longest-established firms in the South East.

Since its launch in 2012, Moore Law has been ranked every year by the Legal 500 and remains the only Brighton-based firm to be ranked for its Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) expertise.

This year the firm has moved up the rankings in TMT, with individual rankings in Intellectual Property, Sport and – for the first time – Media and Entertainment. The rankings describe the sector as one of Moore Law’s “core industry strengths”, praising founder Tristram Moore’s “huge amount of experience” in the field. Highlights for 2017 included advising Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club on a pouring and sponsorship rights agreement with major Sussex brewer Harveys, and handling IP, web compliance and corporate matters for The Culture Space to develop its online media and ticketing platforms.

In another first, Moore Law ranked this year as a leading firm for expertise in Corporate and Commercial legal services, where it “provides an excellent service with outstanding response times” according to clients.

“We are particularly pleased that our Corporate and Commercial work, and our work in the Media and Entertainment sector have been recognised this year,” said Tristram Moore. “We’re striving to be considered the ‘go-to’ digital firm in Brighton and beyond, and it’s heartening to see that clients and peers feel we are going from strength to strength.”
