Samantha Sanderson, Founder and Director, Lockcode Cyber Security
Sam has studied, volunteered and worked in the science, engineering and technology sectors for over 34 years and has over 18 years’ experience of advising defence, intelligence, central government, criminal justice, regulatory and law enforcement clients. She is a CESG Certified Professional Lead Security and Information Risk Advisor. More recently she was also the HMG-funded Small Business Cyber Security Champion (2015/16). Sam is also founder of South East Cyber and Victims and Survivors of Cyber Crime group, founded and sponsored through her company, Lockcode.
Talal Rajab, Head of the Cyber and National Security Programme, techUK
Having originally joined techUK as Programme Manager, Talal manages strategic relationships between Government and industry members on cyber and national security related issues, in particular through the Cyber Growth Partnership. He also leads techUK's work on the Investigatory Powers Bill and has led on a number of cyber security related research projects.
He has a parliamentary background having joined techUK from the Industry and Parliament Trust (IPT), where he managed the IPT's business relations and led on the Trust's Cyber Security Commission. Prior to that Talal worked for Quilliam, a counter-extremism think tank, running their public sector training programmes and leading on a number of research projects and events.
Mike Kennedy, Managing Partner, Restoration Partners
Mike has significant C-level advisory experience with active board participation in young technology business throughout their life cycle and he is experienced in the challenges of restructuring and turnaround.
Mike spent the first decade of his career in the consumer sector with Unilever and Marks and Spencer, gaining extensive software, technology project and operation management experience in systems development and implementation including the global roll-out of SAP.
Chris Bignell, Director, XL Communications Ltd
Chris Bignell is director and principal consultant of XL Communications, an international communications consultancy headquartered in the United Kingdom. Chris advises companies on communications strategy and delivers programmes to fulfil business objectives.
Clients have included blue chip companies like Microsoft, Nokia, Toshiba, Kodak, Garmin and Intel as well as fast growing companies looking to develop quickly, including Danger (pre-acquisition by Microsoft); Actix (pre-acquisition by Amdocs); Navmii and Swytch. He provides a range of services to clients including PR strategy, planning and execution, copy writing, marketing support, exhibition management and collateral creation.
Clive Bonny, Owner and Director, Strategic Management Partners Ltd
Clive set up Strategic Management Partners in 1990. He is a qualified to register and protect intellectual property, conduct background personnel security checks to government BPSS standards, advise on data protection, Responsible Business Standards, and Check-Invest services for private equity investors and fund-raisers. He is a past member of the Fraud Advisory Panel and co-author of Business Ethics published by The Economist.
