Interested in an Application?

The Sussex Innovation Centre specialises in the support of early stage technology ventures, with growth potential. The accommodation is therefore not available or suitable for everyone.

Stage 1 - Complete an Application Form

Applicants are invited to complete an application form (hard copy available on request) which provides us with some basic information on the company, its management and the area of technology / business. Applicants are invited to provide other business, financial and marketing information to support their application. We do not require companies to have a comprehensive Business Plan  or development funding in place, after all these are areas where an incubator can provide assistance and support.

From this information the Centre Management can make initial judgements on whether the proposed activities of the new business venture meets our general criteria.

We also offer a Virtual Tenancy option designed to enable would-be entrepreneurs to enjoy many of the benefits of the Innovation Centre but without incurring the cost of taking office space within a centre.

Stage 2 - Visit the Centre

Applicant companies are welcome to visit the Centre to ensure that the physical facilities and environment meet their requirements. Visits should be arranged via our Centre Manager – Chris Hudson, on +44 (0) 1273 704400 or chris@sinc.co.uk .

Stage 3 - Interview 

The final part of the selection process is an interview with the Executive Director, Mike Herd. This interview will seek to answer the following questions:

• Does your business have the potential to reach £1,000,000 turnover in the next three years?
• Does your business have the level of innovation and technology development to reach a new sustainable market?
• Does your business have the management skills to enable high growth?
• Can the Innovation Centre provide real added value in the development of your business?
