Right Between Your Ears - Screening & Filmmaker Q&A
On the 3rd of October, the premiere of the documentary Right Between Your Ears will be screaning at the David Lean Cinema.
Right Between Your Ears was directed and produced by Croydon filmaker Sheila Marshall and co-produced with Kris De Meyer, a neuroscientist from Kings College London. It explores society's nature of relying on belief systems. Probing into belief, psychology and neuroscience, the documentary studies the evolution of brain activity that occurs when somebody believes a given statement.
Marshal was intrigued by an aspect of human behavior which is our conviction that our views are inherently right. Yet, when we're questioned often wecannot comprehend why others disagree. It explores this very pattern through the lens of a group of people who were convinced that doomsday was going to happen, people who quit their jobs and spent their time preparing for the end of days based upon their infaltering belief in the theory.
This documentary explores the nature of belifs, how people take a theory or ideology and take them for truth. Watch the trailer here.
