Startups Magazine Fourth Launch Party: Human
On Thursday the 22nd of November, Startups Magazine is hosting its fourth launch party and issue of the year. This issue celebrates the all-important human aspect of tech startups.
Join Startups Magazine for an evening of talks from an exciting panel including Seedrs, Tech Talks and Makerversity. There will also be free food and drink, goodie bags to claim and a popup parade showcasing the latest innovation in startups.
There will be an opening keynote speech delivered by Sanj Surati from Tiger Heart.
Sanj is a multi-award winning Digital Atelier with over twenty years of experience in the music, fashion and luxury industries. Working in the Digital and technology industry since 1998, since the digital revolution, Sanj has witnessed first-hand the cultural shift in human behaviour.
Sanj has produced ground breaking work alongside award-winning artists, one of his most notable projects was his participation in the team that delivered the 2Pac hologram at Coachella in 2012 – a project which broke Digital PR Records.
At his current work, Tiger Heart, Sanj works with technology to develop live digital experiences for product launches, retail experiences and experiential events.
Firm in the belief that we are early in the fourth Industrial Revolution, that people are now starting to make full use of creative technology and develop innovative digital ideas. Technology is developing into everything we do. For Sanj, using technology in the right way can change the world and reach people in an unforgettable way.

Ester Ellard, General Manager at Makerversity
Makerversity is a membership community of professional makers and disrupters based in Somerset House. They run physical spaces for a curated community of members, creating the space where innovation can happen – they are a catalyst for raw talent.
David Savage, Founder and Editor at Tech Talks
David started the Tech Talks platform to create a space to share technology stories, discussing topics such as the issues facing current tech leaders. He won Digital Ambassador or the Year (2018) at Computing’s Digital Technology Leaders Awards.
Debra Burns, Compliance Professional, Seedrs
Debra became a chartered accountant in 2013 whilst working with Santander Bank. Debra now heads up the compliance team at Seedrs. She ensures the firm complies with the FCS regulations. Her area of interest is the developing fintech space.
Georgina Brett, Chief of Staff at The Reserve
The Reserve is a strategic advisory that bridges the new world of cryptocurrency and distributed ledgers with the finance sector. Before joining The Reserve, Georgina was a consultant for FTI’s Strategic Communications Department, focusing on internal communications within the company and for financial public relations. Georgina has written for such publications as ‘The Intelligence Brief’, edited for the book ‘Gender and Diplomacy’ and acted as a research assistant at the Oxford Law Facility. In her academic career at Oxford won the Norton Rose Fulbright Prize for Constitutional Law.
Ben Chatfield, CEO and Co-Foudner at Tempo
Before co-founding tempo, Ben worked in recruitment for seven years. Realising the laborious and expensive struggle that was recruitment, he saw that the industry needed to change. An advocate of technological innovation, he strives to make a difference to the way we work.
