Multilingual digital marketing specialists Oban Digital have been chosen by BBC World Service to manage its international digital performance account. Oban’s focus will be to raise awareness and attract new users to the BBC’s digital offering across its language services.

Oban will be responsible for developing the international search and content marketing strategy to increase audience engagement with the World Service in key markets, building upon a global weekly audience of 210 million people – speaking 30 different languages – across radio, TV and digital.

“We’re delighted that BBC World Service has chosen Oban Digital to drive forward its multi-country digital marketing,” said Matt Owen, Chief Executive of Oban Digital. “Delivering in-depth digital experience, cultural insights and unique expertise in markets are at the heart of our business.””

Oban Digital exited the Sussex Innovation Centre in 2013, having taken part in the Centre’s ‘super incubation’ process and more than doubled in size. Since moving into their current premises in Brighton, the business has continued to grow rapidly, and opened its first US office in New York earlier this year.
