Croydon Tech City - April Edition
Lord Jim Knight of Weymouth, Chief Education Advisor and co-owner of XRapid - a tech company diagnosing malaria with iPhones - will keynote Croydon Tech City 2016 launch on Thursday April 21st, 6.30pm at Sussex Innovation Centre, Croydon.
Croydon Tech City was recently described by the Minister for the Cabinet Office, Matt Hancock, as a “blueprint for the future”; Lord Knight’s voice will be a valuable addition to the community’s aims to make Croydon the ‘Silicon Valley of South London’. He will be speaking on the importance of digital skills and education for Croydon’s flourishing.
The Croydon Tech City management team will take this opportunity to update the audience on some of the exciting ways in which Croydon is embracing technology and digital skills throughout the borough, and there will also be a presentation from a local tech startup.
