GIRLS do STEM 2018
Albion in the Community, the official charity of Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club, has delivered STEM-based programmes for a number of years and are working in partnership with Warden Park Academy to deliver a new conference encouraging girls from local schools to choose STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects when considering their GCSEs.
If you are a successful woman in business, with something to say about the importance of technology in your role, Albion in the Community would like to hear from you. The ethos of this initiative is to inspire girls and open their eyes to what they can achieve in the world of work, and how studying a STEM subject can support and enhance their future career. Also, very importantly, that these subjects and job roles are not just for men!
If you would like to give up some of your time to speak to small groups of girls about the value of STEM and answer their questions, contact Albion in the Community for further details.
