On Friday 23 May, UKRIO held the second annual conference for its subscribers. Over 80 delegates – research integrity specialists, managers, researchers and others - discussed how to ensure that research in universities, the NHS and the private sector is conducted in accordance with best practice.
The keynote address was delivered by Acting Chair of UKRIO, Professor Michael Farthing, Vice-Chancellor at the University of Sussex. Further speakers included Dr. Nicole Foeger, Chair of the European Network of Research Integrity Offices, and Dr Steven Hill, Head of Research Policy at the Higher Education Funding Council for England.
Speakers from UKRIO and other experts in research integrity explored how to promote good research practice, and how to avoid common issues and pitfalls, drawing on UKRIO’s unique and extensive experience. The conference provided a forum for delegates to discuss the issues which mattered to them and share their own experiences, as well as seek advice from UKRIO.
A selection of materials from the conference are available on the UKRIO website. A full report on the conference is in preparation and will be available shortly.
