Hospital Fungicide Research Could Curb Global Health Threat
Novel compounds originally developed at the University of Sussex for use in farming may hold the key to fighting an emerging fungal pathogen which has been labelledRead more
Fungicides play a key strategic role in crop disease control, but increasing resistance to existing solutions threatens their ongoing effectiveness and ability to deliver upon the ever-increasing need for higher efficiency and crop yields.
Novel compounds developed at the University of Sussex directly address this escalating challenge and, when applied alone or in combination with existing fungicides, are set to prevent the development of fungal resistance, reduce application cycles and environmental damage and, as a result, increase crop yield.
This technology is set to provide agrochemical companies with an opportunity to differentiate and increase the efficiency of their existing and future products. We are now seeking a commercial partner to accelerate further development and commercialise the resulting fungicide.
